Like many others the software fails at the “get Permissions” part. Once it does a scan and shows that message it will cease functioning.

It is working in Yosemite, and is a very useful app !!!
Works really great!!!
My iTunes music library has over 30,000 songs. iTunes has been messed up with various duplicates. This Tunes Cleaner helped me out. I’m quite satisfied with this app. It helped me delete nearly 500 duplicates in iTunes...powerful, easy to use, simple operation, etc. good job...
My MP4 player is full of duplicates. Some songs even have 4 or 5 duplicates. Downloaded this Music Cleaner and tried to use it for removing duplicates on my MP4 player. It worked. Duplicates are removed. The function of letting users select duplicates to remove is quite user friendly.
Added artworks for most of my songs in iTunes, songs without artist, album, and other tags were fixed, duplicates were detected and removed thoroughly, the manual editor is useful.
I used to use the “Get Info” option in iTunes to add and complete song info like artist, album, artwork, etc. for my iTunes music files. But it really is time consuming as I had to do the work repeatedly. My friend suggested me try this app. It’s great. It’s able to download and add song tags to all my song files that have missing tags in batch. The duplicates are also perfectly cleared. If you’re still using iTunes’s “Get Info” and “Show Duplicate Items”, I suggest you use this.
The first impression after using it is powerful and easy to use. Even without checking its tutorial guide, one could easily carry out the iTunes cleanup work with this Tunes Cleaner, no matter you are to complete song info or remove duplicated songs. Its actual functions are powerful and practical. Duplicates could be removed in one click. Song info could be downloaded and completed for most songs. Quite nice app.
I should say this iTunes cleaner tool does its job in a nice way. Clean the song duplicates in my iTunes, fix those missed song tags, allow me to add song tags manually, fix music folders on my MP4 player. Its a great tool. But it could be between if it allows me to fix those unmatched existing song tags.
I bought it to clean my music library and initially everything went fine. But after a long scan of the library, located on external drive, it fixed some songs, but started to ask for additional payment to fix the rest, citing vague copyright reasons. I do not believe that the developers will pass any money to the artists and I do not think that they should, so it feels like extortion - you have already paid, here you are some results, but if you want the rest, pay some more. The description of the software does not mention that it is only a limited version for $20 and you have to pay more.
After seeing this Tunes Cleaner app touted in the Entertainment Weekly Gift Guide, I bought it to clean duplicate tunes from the 50,000+ songs in my iTunes Library. Huge mistake. I have never purchased an app from the App Store that did NOTHING as advertised… But this one does nothing— then asks for more money to do what you purchased it to do in the first place. I had no trouble with the idea of “in-app” purchases for this app— but I am not going to give MORE MONEY to an app that already can’t/wont do ANY of the things it is advertised to do. Huge waste of money AND time. I have requested a refund. This app is a joke.
When I run Tunes Cleaner (v. 3.2.2) and select “Start to Clean iTunes”, it searches my iTunes directory then stops, and shows me 5 live stream items than says "5song(s) no permission, click Get Permission to authority and fix them.” When I click on the folder in front of Get Permission for each item, a directory window opens and there is no instruction about what to select and open. Searching for help, this is message is on the Leawo Support site: How to “Get permission” :Please click the folder icon before“Get permission” and set the folder to be the same as the directory before“Get Permission”, click “open” button to authorize the folder for scanning. This makes no sense and there is no further help about what to do to get permission to proceed. I am pretty frustrated with the lack of support online, or blogs with help to solve this issue. I have sent a message to the publisher and hope to get some clear advice about how to proceed with the review of my iTunes directory. I am going to ask for a refund if I don’t get a prompt response from the publisher.
Says, “ Permissions blah blah “…..never worked once. Piece of c__p!
Does exactly what it says - This program takes the basic cleanup features and does them in a way that is efficient and effective. My iTunes music library and MP4 player were well cleaned up with this app. The user guide is easy to follow and the program itself is pretty intuitive.
I have tons of music files in my iTunes, and I don’t know how many duplicates are available in my iTunes library. With this software, I can delete the duplicates with ease.
It replaced about 1000 of my song picture covers that were perfectly good, with distorted pictures. some didnt even match the correct band. All the time I put into making my collection look good, this thing messed up in about 15 minutes. so glad I didnt pay for this rip off
I recently purchased this app. All was fine at the beginning until I went to sync my phone to itunes. Now some songs won’t even sync, the cover art is incredibly pixilated and now my phone glitches out when i use the back button to play my previous song. ABSOLULTY AWEFUL APP. DO NOT BUY!!!!
This used to work really well. Not sure if it’s an issue with iTunes match or the cloud but Tunes Cleaner is no longer recognizing my songs that are missing albums or album artwork. I’m having this issue whether I chose the option to “Start Cleaning iTunes” or manually select my iTunes media folder via “Open Music Files” Another gripe is that my results will sometimes include albums like “Dance Party Hits” or “Ultimate Rock Collection” rather than the true album for the song. Chosing one of these mixtape style of albums will change your Artist to “Various Artists” You can choose not to change the artist but I would like to see the option of having other potential matches available to choose from for when those mixtape albums come up or if I get an incorrect match Also, keep in mind that there is a 50,000 song limit. Once you reach that limit, you’ll have to spend another $2 for every 5,000 matches
I bought this app to remove duplicates. Now I have hundreds of albums I dont won which have one song attached to them. The app was unableto locate the original album they came from - all songs were loaded into Itunes from my CD collection. I would have been better off spending a night sorting and deleting my duplicates than to now have my Itunes collection in such a mess. $19.99 down the drain. A pity Apple does not do some rudimentary QA on the stuff they allow to be sold on their App Store.
This software is the biggiest waste of time. Cleaning duplicates seems worthless. I still have all them…. Fixing my tags took 3 days and i finally ended the session. Now to totally clean my music library, Im prompted to purchase increase usage for $4.99 more. Such LOW to NO CLASS. Look closely at the “Top In-App Purchases” above on the right. WHO sales apps within an app to get the original result(s) you already paid for??? Thanks for stealing my money and wasting 3 days of my life….
